An Unusual Reality

Hey guys,

As you know, I recently did an interview with Stephan Schwartz. Stephan said something very interesting about Dr Ian’s research on reincarnation — so while the interview is getting edited, I did some digging shared with you Dr Ian’s reincarnation research.

I found your comments really interesting! Some of you agreed that his research supported reincarnation. Some of you had other ideas.

I find this so fascinating that I looked around even more and found this. Now I want to know what do you think of this.

Do you think this evidence is strong proof of reincarnation?

Or do you completely disagree with the whole concept that these children’s past lives memories are even reincarnation — and perhaps something else instead?

Share your thoughts below!

Michael Jura

PS: When the full interview with Stephan Schwartz is edited, you’ll hear Stephan’s opinion on Dr Ian’s reincarnation work… plus a whole lot more things that challenges how we conventionally think the mind works.

Stay tuned to be the first to know about this interview.

I think reincarnation is highly likely but have heard of another, problematic explanation for it which I won’t go into here. I do think that people who have near death experiences see what they expect to see when they die; whether it be deceased family members, Jesus, God, angels, etc. I think at least some of us may have a choice about whether we reincarnate or not. I have also heard about these cases of children remembering past lives. We are not “supposed” to do this but somehow children get around the barrier sometimes. The barrier is there so past life experience won’t interfere with the present life. For some pretty creepy opinions visit Phil Goddard’s site. Phil lives in the UK and has definitely attended the school of hard knocks when it comes to spiritual stuff.

I believe it is a distinct possibility and am looking forward to learning more about it. I have definite ideas about one or two former lives I may have experienced. My sister-in-law tells of how she always would rub her neck for some reason, sort of like a nervous habit she thought. Then through some type of investigating of the possibility of re-incarnation, she said that discovered that she had been a witch in Winston-Salem and was hung — perhaps explaining why she always strocked her neck? Who knows? Only God. I’m looking forward to the interview as is Peggy.

I am convinced that there is reincarnation. I have a couple of very graphic memories, sadly just snippets, of what I believe are previous lives. I was a Scottish girl during the time of the battle of Collodden — I see myself clearly being chased by English soldiers on horses. I lived once in Tintagel, Cornwall, I don’t know if I was a man or a woman then. I either was mummified alive or died in a very enclosed space, in another life. Again, I don’t know if I was a man or woman, but as a child, I remember wrpping myself tightly in my sheets, trying to overcome my terror. I lived as a woman in India in yet another life. That was probably my most recent life, as I remember telling my mother that one has “long black hair in heaven.” These memories are still strong, though I am almost 60. I have never been to Scotland or India — I was born in Bermuda.

I have not doubt that we are part of the recycling process… natural laws.… From my own experience, When my daughter was 3 years old, she was sitting at the table having a snack with me, and proceeded to tell me that before she was me… she got to choose what mommy and daddy she wanted from a whole lot of them .… (certainly tells me something more is going on) Now am not quite sure that we always stay with the “same” soul, or that if its possibly to describe as sort of a fog or cloud (which is the only words we have to describe it) and intermingle.. so really each of us was or could have been thousands of other “personages” … anyway just a theory am playing around with … will be fun to see what others are coming up with … sure hope this makes sense …

I don’t know what to think about it.I am now 70 years of age, but when I was about 2 or 3, there was a thought that kept running through my head: I was in a fighter-type airplane which was in a dive. Oil was splattering over the cockpit window, the red cowl flaps were open, both feet were on the rudder pedals and I was pulling back on the stick for all I was worth. I glanced to my left and saw the wing tip clipping through the treetops and began SWEARING. The very next thing I remember is, as a child, sitting in a large rocking chair and hearing water running in another room. I
got up to investigate and looked up at a woman who had her back to me. The thought hit me: That is my mother THIS TIME.

There was no TV those days and my parents belonged to a strict religion where movies were out of the question. With respect to the swearing mentioned above, it was avery rare occassion around our housae to even hear so much as the word “hell”. Yet, at 3 or so, I used swear words in combinmations unheard of in thjose days. Pay a price, I did.

One day while riding into town with my father, I mentioned to him that I had been a pilot in my last life.He beat me to teh floor of his pick-up and told me never to talk like that again. I would dream of playing outside and when an airplane
flew over head, my arm would elongate and I would pluck the plane out of the sky and admire every incch of it.

I joined the USAF and believe it or not, was selected to be an enlisted air crew member. After training, the first time I stepped aboard an aircraft, the words came involuntarily: “It ain’t going to happen this time.” And it didn’t.

Another thought on reincarnation: Perhaps if one’s life is cut short, they are allowed to come back and finish the course. Just a thought.

Yes, we are reincarnated. We have lived many lives, and yes, we do get to choose who we want to be and who’s birth canal we want to come through into this life on this planet. We choose our experiences, good and bad, to learn whatever it is we want to learn. And when we have learnt as much as we want from this planet, we go elsewhere of our choosing.
If you study Quantum Physics and meditate long enough, you will know this to be the truth. You tap into a whole new world you didn’t know existed, but you have to do the work to get there.
This information has been around thousands and thousands of years, it’s NOT new.….……everything in life is recycled.

In linear, horizontal, time lives may be past, present, future depending on point of observation. In actual no-time, vertical, all lives are concurrent; happening simultaneously. Whether in fact, theory, or myth — everything has already happened and we are choosing lives from what is. The stunner is that, again theoretically, every conceivable possibility exists. As one chooses to step right instead of left, in the sake of simplification for instance, one transits another expression of self in another perception of “reality” through infinity and eternity. Thereby one may experience other life experiences of the self; within current consciousness, in time, and therefore create their own experience, not only of self but of other aspects of those sharing that life. So, loving all that is, all others, without judgement, separation or condemnation, actually creates what some might refer to as Heaven on Earth.

I am not aware of any past life nor recall anything like that from childhood. I can remember falling out of a pram! However, I keep an open mind. The video is interesting and well put together but far from convincing at present. It’s just text with nice music and no ‘witness evidence’.

Even though I never experienced it, I know for sure there are past and future lives. The soul is eternal.Only the body dies. It’s like an old clothing. We come here time after time to experience new experiences, to learn more and to become a better person.

It could be that these children are just naturally gifted at accessing the collective unconsciousness with regard to something that is happening in another time stream. Many quantum physicists now believe that all time is happening at once and that time is not linear. Vivid access to thes experience could just be taken as a memory of a past life. Either way it is very impressive.

This is realy interesting, I just ask myself, why is it so important to prove if we or if we not reincarnate. I think, most important life is now. We can’t change what happen in our past life and we can’t change what will happen in our next life. I gess, human nature or our curiosity.
My philosophy, make the best out of this life, enjoy it to the fulest you may not have another chance and if, make the next life even a better one.

I believe in reincarnation. Like many of the comments above, how could we possible learn all the lessons in one lifetime that we need in order to achieve our highest potential as “one” with God. We have many lives and lifetimes in order to experience and remember that we are spirit beings– we are pure love. When we remember this we will evolve and vibrate at a higher level. When we come here to experience what it is like to be human, we are given the opportunity to think and make choices in our development, spiritually. I think the human experience is one of the fastest modes for spiritual growth because we have the gift of choice. When we make the right choices by listening to that inner voice, we experience ‘heaven’ on Earth. When we make choices that cause suffering and pain we know we veered off the path, yet, these painful choices are what help us to grow, be true to ourselves, and evolve-personally and as a whole planet. Since we are all connected, each experience ripples out to the whole to add to the evolution. That is why choice is so important. All the past lives we experience add to that growth and help us remember that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

It’s really difficult for me to believe that our creator has to recycle us. My opinion is that we have an exclusive DNA, a blueprint for us as an “individual”. I sometimes feel that we are limited but the creator is not. We love fantasy and mystery, this subject seems to just feed that. When I look up at the universe to see the stary heavens, it’s many constellations, stars, galaxies, etc. seems to validate my opinion.

I beleive that reincarnation is the Dna passed down from one generation to another. my grandmother passed her Dna to my mother, her feelings about the world and how she fit into it was passed down to my mother. I have the Dna from my mother and father and I can use that stored information to help me fit into life. some generations are given a lot and others have to really work hard. everything is written into your Dna how life treats you the work that was done by you. If you worked hard in a pass life that wear and tear shows up on the body that you have now. the thoughts that you have also comes from a previous life. yes I do believe in reincarnation.

    May 6, 2009 | 5:09 pm

Reincarnation is a concept invented in order to explain the occurences happening in these individuals. Imagine the billions of people that have lived and died in the past 40 thousand years or more. Each one being an individual, unique creation. Where do they go after they die? If we are eternal beings, and I know we are, then these beings are in various states of growth and maturity, depending on what type of life they lived and how they died.

Many may not have realized that they are actually dead and try to continue living in a physical body. Many want their stories told. Children in particular are suseptible to these types of influences. They are sponges to everything that comes their way. All a spirit has to do is find someone who allows their presence and they can pass on their memories, habits and mannerisms to a “living” person.

I put “living” in quotes because these spirits are also living but no longer have a physical body.

I found this article to be very interesting, i can not say what others would need to find this article conclusive, however. for many many years i have fully believed in reincarnation, i believe that the RV also lends credibility to this, as it involves parallel time which we also live in. I do believe that many likes and dislikes come from our past lives, and personality traits, creative endevors, personal styles and very much so from past lives come some of our early childhood fears!
If you understand that we came from Spirit to have human experience, and grow, then return to Spirit, then we obviously come back many times until we graduate from this ability, then i believe that after that we become higher spirit being part of the All, we go on to help others in their growth experience. Who knows, we most likely visit or live in other worlds or galaxies as well. Where do young children come up with ‘scary’ dreams with vivid characters that do not exist on this earth at this time or any time we in this realm know of?

  20. Tom
    May 6, 2009 | 5:20 pm

To a person whom only a small revelation of eternity has come, reincarnation should make perfect sense. I think anyone wishing to remember past lives, properly guided, can remember parts of previous lives. I also believe there are things we need not to remember, due both to the traumatic nature of the events, as well as the possibility of adversely influencing important decisions for this present life time. An entire lifetime can be as a day in the overal experience in this plane of existence. After all, each morning we wake up are we not starting a new life, a new day?

I have always believed in the immortal soul.… And, for a long time, in reincarnation.

Yet, as Jason says, if we are all One, when not visiting in the space/time continuum, how is it that we are separate?? Can we be One and separate?

It’s a mystery, as they say in Catholicism.

For those readers who might be interested in exploring this further, a course if offered at http://www.soulrealignment.com/

    Hi,

It surprises me that you have not mentioned Carol Bowman who has written extensively about Children’ Past Lives. She is American as is Brian L. This is more than collective consciousness. That is a different subject entirely. I remember a lot of my past lives. A lot. Unlike most of his cases, I remembered my first one at 8 years old (at least the one that I can still remember). If I remembered one before that, I don’t know. But since then, I have remembered even more. When my son was born, I remembered being with him before, when I first looked at him.

I have read all the messages in this thread thus far and as I commented in my first post I have yet to hear an argument for reincarnation that can not be explained either by the cellular memory theory or discarnate entities influencing sensitive subjects. Back in the fifties when I was still in High School I read everything I could find on this fascinating subject. Gina Cerminara’s classic “Many Mansions,” “The Search for Bridey Murphy, all the Edgar Cayce material that had been published, plus many others. I wanted desperately to believe but doubts grew over the years precipitated by Dr. Carl Wickland’s “Thirty Years Among the Dead.” There are a lot of folks who believe that a perfect God in his omnipotent, omniscient, loving wisdom, would not create something imperfect to begin with so that in order to gain eternal life he must continually re-enter the womb to learn lessons missed the first time around. Our learning and growing experiences will continue into the next life although somewhat harder to master without the mortal body to anchor us. Think about it.

    Hi, Michael,
Thank you for nice letter from the emails.

ne of the many strange things that happened to me was for some years ago.
I had a pain in my chest and I was in constant flu. I tried anything of the natural therapies I know, but nothing helped.
I was not getting any worse either, but it was unconfortable.
Until one day one of my b est friends and collegue told me about a TV program that would release an approuval to past life eventures.
I was very sceptical and said I would think about it.
Three weeks later the coufing and the didnt get any better and suddenly one morning I woke up knowing I had to accept the offer.
I called and already next week the were ready to shoot the program.
I live in Norway , and in Norway this is against the law.
    So, we went to Sweden.
At that time I had a man following and kind of “spioning” me.
He was sending me crazy SMS and making my life a little uncertain.

When we started the session in Sweden, I went into level very fast, but 5 minutes before we started, the man which was foll see any value in me, called.….
During the session I saw that I had been victim of loosing my whole family and friends and neighbour on an attack from berberians in a small village in Spain.
I was saved because the attackers the berberians didnt see any value in me, since my whole left side was paralized and I had a stick supporting me.
30 minutes after the session I was totally healed. The pain in my chest was gone my flu too.
And since that day this man stopped “spioning ” on me.
I saw myself very clear during the session, and I SAW EVERY EVENT LIKE THE CLEAR DAY.
It is clear to me until now that we have lived before and that our lives are the circle of never-ending stories.

    Sincerly

The subject of reincarnation has fascinated people since the beginning of time it seems. I believe if we as soul can occupy a fetus at birth, then we can do so as many times as required for our evolution and learning. When my grand daughter was between 2 and 4 she often talked about when she was the Momie and my daughter, her mother, was her child. She even spoke of being pregnant with my daughter. This was really amazing as my daughter was not pregnant and no-one in the family was pregnant at the time so she had no one she was being influended by. As time went by, this memory faded and she does not speak of it anymore.
I do believe, also — that some children are gifted sensitives who can communicate unconsciously, with discarnate beings and may pick up memories from a spirit that may seem like their own memories. The case of wanting to visit some family may be explained in that way (clairvoyantly picking up the message from a spirit who wants to visit his/her family in a physical sense and perhaps impart a message this way). I really do feel that science will never be able to completely explain away all spiritual matters as the existence of the spiritual realm is in another dimension of existence.
Fascinating subject and there are many good books and researchers now. Thanks for this opportunity.

Ok, so could reincarnation give you skills and things of this nature to you. If it is than that woud explain much. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always felt like for all time I have been a warrior, a great fighter and master of the killing arts. How, I don’t know. I’ve always had the memory and the knoledge of how to fight and kill, its wierd. Maybe in my past lives I was a master fighter and death machine, a ninja perhaps, I’ve always felt a connection to the shadow warriors. Plus I have alot of there skill, and I NEVER practiced them like figting and there physical abilities such as balance.

    Its wierd to think about.

Isn’t the idea of reincarnation just great! I’ve always felt that I wanted to experience as many different types of life as possible in this lifetime. I used to find it difficult to know who I was because I so enjoyed envisioning other people’s lives. That’s not to say reincarnation isn’t a possibility or even a reality. I have had an unusual (to me) experience that could be explained in a number of ways, but the way that resonates with me is that we met before in another life.

When my second daughter was born, my maternal grandmother got very ill and died two weeks later. Meanwhile my baby cried day and night for no apparent reason, until the day grandma died…
When my grandfather saw her for the first time, after grandma’s death, he stared at her intensively, as if he was recognizing her.
To this day, my daugher reminds me of grandma and I believe she is her reincarnation.
You see, grandma was a very conservative and religious woman, shocked by my life choices, such as following an American hippie to Paris or wearing a scarf around my breast as a top… or sleeping in a sleeping bag on the beach!
I believe she desired to experience the freedom I displayed so much she decided to re-encarnate in my family.

When I was about 7 I found a book in my house about someone who was tortured by the inquisition, there was a whole chapter describing the torture very graphicly, and I just devoured it(much to my parents disaproval). Ever sinse then I’ve had a very strange intrest in torture. I’ve often wondered why this intrested me so much, sinse by nature I’m very gentle and sensitive. I often read books that write about someone being tortured, I get a strange kind of enjoyment from it, along with a feeling of being sick in the stomach. Recently I read about a person being tortured with electricity, and I got that feeling of being sick in the stomach, but much, much stronger. I was cringing so hard and holding my stomach, feeling very nausious. I felt the need to read it over and over even though I had such an unpleasant reaction. That night the thought suddenly hit me that maybe this happened to me in a past life. I think that’s the only way this makes sense.
