Okay, so if you're like most people out there, chances are you've seen Inception. And if you haven't, don't worry, I'm not going to give away any spoiler alerts. But even though I saw it, paid attention, and sat through the entire thing, I've got a confession: I don't get it.
I mean, I get the gist of it. I get the whole implanting an idea in someone's brain thing. I get the general story. But there's also a lot that I just don't understand.
And I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way either. But before I go any further, for those who haven't seen it, check out the trailer. It's really good.
This movie toys a lot with reality and dreams and the blending of the two so yes, there are parts that get a little tricky. I'm not saying I didn't like the movie. I loved it. And I really recommend you go see it, but just don't expect to get a clear cut Disney beginning, middle and end.
But here's my big question for you. Do you think this is possible? How secure are our minds and consciousness? Is it possible for someone to penetrate our minds and take and give ideas? It's a slightly unnerving topic but I wanted to get your opinions on this.

haven't seen the movie but I can say that the mind is constantly influenced by our surroundings whether deliberately or just by the nature of living in this reality. used to do remote viewing where I would go on missions till one night it totally freaked me out as to what I was doing and I said "no more.," and yes it stopped. I knew what I was seeing and it was with a group of people, sometimes just myself and one other who was like my protector/teacher. dreams reveal the subconscious mind, the reflector of our life, in a way that to our conscious mind can be made sense of and until that happens there is unrest and the constancy of searching for the truth, the resolution, the peace

i do agree with the two of you guys. but i guess, it's already upon us and it's been with us since time immemorial, isn't it? see how people are able to influence and convince us about their ideas and philosophies? i believe it is one reality that some of us are just equipped with the right mindset to be able to "enter" some people's minds. although looks like some of them are able to do it unconsciously, while some it is learned. and for most of us, we still have to learn it.
Hi, I just read your comment on the "truth". I haven't been seeking the truth but I have been trying to define it. I gave up on the search when I applied the simple logic that the truth is seen by all thus giving the truth infinite variations. Example; if three people are standing in a line with the first and second person facing one another and the third person looking at the the back of the second person's head. If the first person hits the second person in the face with a pie, which person saw the whole truth of the incident? My answer would be none. Each indiviual saw a fraction of what happened and then processed that information to form their individual version of the truth. Well if I,m off base with this please let me know. Thanks.
Haven't watched the movie. Yes, I believe that the mind can be influenced by others, while conscious and or unconscious via dreams. Telepathy is an awesome skill/experience but one needs to be mentally strong to recognize/understand who you really are, your beliefs, your limits, integrity… and learn to block others emotions and thoughts whether intentionally planted or just picked up randomly and to be able to tell the difference.

If our minds were not open to influence, would we spend half of our adulthood trying to overcome the limiting beliefs installed in childhood? Of course we're absorbing influence from outside all the time, the media, films, music, people. Its just that our conscious (non-dreaming) mind has a filter and dismisses any beliefs that don't match the ones already installed. But in Inception, the beliefs are being installed in the sub-conscious, which has no filters, hence will accept anything fed to it.
I haven't seen the movie but the idea of mind power has had a strong hold on my own mind for the last few years. It does seem believable that there is a shift in evolution of our consciousness and that thoughts are more than mere empty forms in the vast void of our minds. If you think back to the 70's the US Government, and most likely others, took a serious interest in remote viewing and "psychic" intelligence work, much of which is now declassified information (but probably only to a point). Thirty years ago we would have laughed at the thought of any governmental organization taking interest and even studying such "nonsense". Now knowing how powerful the mind is and how much untappped potential lies within it's confines, I would be inclined to think that world intelligence agencies are not as removed from the subject of mind power as they would like us to think. In declassifying much of the confidential material in their remote viewing operations it would suffice to say that the message conveyed to the public would be.....hey we tried it out and it didn't work.

Michael, seeing this picture tomorrow night. My opinion is though, as we are all One Consciousness, each carrying the God particle within, that most definately we can enter into someone else's dream state. Subliminal audio discs do exactly that, implant ideas into your brain. Note I said brain. Although I have not seen the movie, I can suggest one thing and that is to read anything by Carlos Casteneda, re-read it learn it and you will come to relize that we are already living with-in the dream, we call it reality... I do not watch T.V. anymore and very rarely movies (since I realized the Simponsons was the most "real" thing on T.V.) I love to "Travel" to different dimensions in my dreams though. :0)

I believe we as INDIVIDUALS make (perhaps unconsciously) the decision about what we choose to think. We, individually, choose whether to think happy thoughts or unhappy thoughts, & we choose what information to discuss and share and dwell on and think about all day long. If our thoughts are being manipulated by others, then ultimately we made the choice to allow that manipulation in to our thoughts.

Hey Michael, good topic. Our minds have been polluted with subliminal garbage since the 70's. I believe mankind is becoming more immune to mind control. However, until you become aware of the different forms of mind control and influence, chances are a lot of thoughts rolling around in your mind are not your own. A good book on this subject is "Mind Programming" by Eldon Taylor. I started reading this book at the same time I received my remote viewing and influencing program from A.R.V.A.R.I. These two products work really well with each other. I highly recommend this book to anyone practicing remote viewing. As we begin to open our minds to the ONE, we are bound to run into some psychic pollution before we reach enlightenment. Don't be afraid, truth and love will always prevail. I love Gerald's RV exercise on breaking away from the fear matrix. We have to realize that the mind power linked to the subconscious is nothing new to the secret world of advertising/commercial, and military psychology. The next time you got to a shopping mall, try to be aware of all the sudden impulsive urges you have. Look at an add in a magazine with no pictures of people in it and ask yourself what you feel. They deliberately put symbols and shapes that are meant specifically for your subconscious. I say this only to spread awareness, NOT to spread fear. The movie inception was a facinating movie with many twists and turns and I believe it shows what is possible with the use of technology and how the mind can be accesed and manipulated. We all have the power and gift of our imagination. why do we have this gift if not to use it? And when we use this gift what we imagine may become real. We have the gift of dreaming and what we dream may become real. In the movie if I understood it correctly, dreams were used to make a desired outcome real. There may have been confusion in in understanding the plot because there were times when I was not sure having a dream within a dream; and within dreams happen in "real life" Our minds may not be as secure as we believe. Dream states can take us to alternate realities that seem understandable while we are there.. After returning to our state of consciousness those experiences have no grounding or understanding here and therefor become confusing.. My girlfriend saw Inception for the 2nd time with me for my 1st. She said she caught a lot of details she missed the 1st time, and had no doubts this time about what was happening or the resolution. I liked the film. I think they leave you hanging at the end about whether he has made it home.
Yes, others can get into your thoughts. Look at all of the sheep who unquestioningly regurgitate what they're told in the media. For example, how many still believe the "official story" of 9/11, when credible experts have documented proof of how it is physically impossible for the buildings to have been demolished the way they were by airplane collision. Look at the people who mindlessly followed the KKK, or Hitler, who just sat and lackadaisically let George W steal a second election... There are many ways to imprint and implant ideas, beliefs, fears. Socialization is a constant process of people telling people how to believe and behave, and many vehicles and avenues to facilitate this.
I also think that there are those out there (humans, and perhaps other aware entities from beyond Earth, the physical plane, biological life?) that can actively invade our minds if they choose, and I believe the movie illustrates one potential way, through dreams. I think we can find one another in shared dreams. I believe I have experienced this. I have definitely had precognitive and lucid dreams. My most recent lucid dream was while listening to the Remote Influencing audio while falling asleep- the consistent recording play was the key that helped me realize I was dreaming and take control of the dream.
There are shamans, mystics, spiritual masters and cultivators of awareness that have practiced to the point of learning to transcend many of the boundaries that the public accepts as final. I think most beings with the level of awareness to accomplish these kind of abilities probably have enough awareness to use their powers responsibly, and enough insight to realize the futility of engaging in acts of warfare and deception with other humans, but who knows... A world of infinite possibility, right?
And the self is just an illusion, right? Individuality is just a dream of the cosmic soup? So if our minds are illusory projections, and life is one, who cares if one illusion invades another?
Agrees with Eddie these shows and movies like Inception really introduce ourselves into ideas that transcend our notions of time and space. I am interested in the idea of Lucid Dreaming and what it can accomplish. I often think of the afterlife as the Big Sleep, the idea that we would remain in the dream world. I believe that one day we will learn how to bring the lucidity of the real world with the infinite potential of the dream world and literally create for ourselves a heaven on earth.

Have you ever wondered where your thoughts come from, 90 percent of our thoughts and emotions we pick up from others, without us knowing we are tuning into others and them tuning into us. People who are sensitive are more likely to be more open to others energy.
I worked with a ADD boy, his emotions were all over the place especiaslly at school, he was always getting into trouble. So I possed the question to him to ask himself when things were out of control. WHO DOES THIS BELONG TO.
I explained how to tune into the question and then to see if it was actually his or not, what followed was awesome, it was like turning on a light in somebodies life. His words were, is that why all of a sudden i want to eat, punch somebodies lights out, feel sad, feel like crying, getting angry with my teachers for no reason, do crazy things, say things that I would not usually say. And of course him being ADD the whole lot came out in about 2 seconds flat.

Hi. I have not seen this film. The human brain is a big lump of fat serving as a antenna receiving electromagnetic and higher frequencies from the ether and as a electromagnetic "central control" for the body and it´s functions. The body/brain produces thoughts as you experiences as your own thinking, this kind of thinking is affected by the physical conditions in the body/brain and the input from the outside world through the senses. An other kind of thoughts are of a certain quality, crisp, clear, profound, innovative etc, thoughts induced in your brain by the field surrounding your body, the part of you that lives forever and knows all there is to know. Somewhere down my lifeline i was a member of a certain "spiritual developement organisation" whose members regularly meditated in groups, focusing on specific persons of power somewhere in the physical world, with the single aim to implant specific thoughts in to the persons mind, thus trying to influence this persons way of thinking (and his/her acts as a ruler/politician or the like). I left this organisation due to its incongruence with my personal kind of ethics and morals.
Absolutely, this is very possible ( done with the best result when the "receiver" or "target" is at deep sleep, as the awakened state is a state of strong "intruding thoughts immunity" due to the volume of the persons own thinking mind) . And if you pay attention; you can hear in your inner ear -your own thoughts (loud and clear) and the thoughts of the masses (like a buzz of static electricity or "white noise" and the specific "world teacher" thoughts (low volume, clear and audible, presenting ideas in your mind (inspiration) that makes you think: "yes, why not. Why haven´t i thought of this before?", being broadcast by highly developed indiviudals in the effort of impacting the ordinary person in this world to think, do and be in a certain manner. Sleep tight, sweethearts, you may wake up to morrow with the thoughts of a genius....or the solution to a problem which has been a bother to you for a long time.
Ps: spend some time searching for events of "syncronicity", different persons living far apart in different parts of the world presenting the same cutting edge invention or breakthrough in science or philosophy, they are there - if you take a closer look. (and so is the source)....

Reality is all a matter of perception when you get down to it. There is so much discussion material in this movie that it could go on for days, but I would recommend to any one who has not seen to go see it, twice and then get the DVD when it comes out so the journey can continue. lol.

Getting into a persons mind; depends whether the mind is entered in via a front door, back door or piggy backs on a thought, belief, idea the person has already. Go in the front door with an agenda, there will probably be push back...go in floating on a fluffy white cloud...
Sometimes I can tap into a frequency while in meditation where I am shown advanced technology. After, I'm not sure if I tapped into something or if I recieved the information by a group trying to get me to create a new technology on this plane and in this time period. The technology is foreign and appears to be comming from another time and place. I am currently trying to bring one such technology to this paradigm. Although this is a very interesting lifes work for me I do feel like I am being used and influenced.

There have been four major technologies I have been shown. The first was a large device that braught the ionispere down to earth via a large tower that used a laser. The next on used vacuum and water to rip electrons from the water for power. The next one used a series of layered material to for antigravity waves that were in rods placed under a huver craft. The final one was a huge magnifing glass on top of a pyramid that had a complex set of collection bars under it that soaked up the energy. But why me? These devices are too complex for me to create by myself. But I am working on one of the elements in one of the devices and who knows maybe someday it will come together.

To Ezekiel it was something revealed to him by God and it seems like he didn´t have the slightest idea what it was. I thought the movie was fantastic also! I liked it when they were discussing which though and how they were going to implant it in the the subjects mind/consciousness. They sounded like "affirmations." i.e "I am going to....." or "I will....." I got a chuckle out of it.
To say that it's not possible would be predjudice on my behalf because I am not certain if there are technologies in this world that do remotely what was suggested in the movie.....maybe there is. But I highly doubt that I will be able to find it at "Best Buy!" lol I know that there are people / mediums on this planet that can hear what your thinking. I've learned this from experience. Everytime I'd block a thought. She say to me; "Stop that!" lol
However, as far invoking a thought or an idea into ones mind or subconsious.......?!? It does tickle the curiousity doesn't it. The vibrational frequency that one would have to acquire and be aware of to do such a thing, would be out-of-this-world!!
Speaking of which, I am sure "ET's" have the capacity to do so..........maybe we will too......in time. The dreaming within a dream was abit of a bender for me as I have a hard time remembering my dreams. Then again the dreams within a dream in the movie Inception were actually "induced" upon the subject by DiCaprio and Team. (sorry i can't remember the characters names). So........ could someone actually dream within a dream at their won free-will........I DON'T KNOW?!? lol So many questions and far too many unknowns. I think they did a great job with the movie and covered aspects of that reality or fantasy (i.e. movie) very well. they covered alot of the angles/ perspectives. Like how the mind goes into a defense mechanism state when the changes aren't subtle or well composed enough. Technically your in their world......therefore.......your presence is like a virus within a body and your immune system attacks the tthreat immediately. Ideas can be implanted through dreams, but the outcome and the reaction to any new idea cannot neccessarily be predicted. I believe it has a similar effect to any ideas that are implanted in the usual ways of conversation, reading, watching TV, etc. etc.
I believe, as Daniel says above, 'all ideas must be filtered through the heart', before they will bear any real fruit.

We can be cajoled, influenced, convinced, but our choices are NOT to be ever overridden...even by GOD, the ONE, who in the first place gave us this right under HIM. We rescued a two year old cat from very bad restriction, giving him free reign to even GO OUTSIDE and see for himself the world....and he always comes back to his home, where he knows he's loved unconditionally. He's grown in size and strength and weight and...knowledge and inner understanding of his life. I speak of just a cat, a domestic animal. In the scriptures there was the fall of eden because of cajoling and influencing, but never of overtaking of another individual. GOD lives at our core, the bastion of our freedom to be one and all and everything. All e need to do is find him within us.
Mind reading and mind control is possible by someone outside of yourself but you also have the power to resist others from minding reading and mind control of you, just by knowing that you can. I know that I would not enjoy the movie at all. I would avoid seeing it. I don't enjoy violence and contention in the least, it seems to me to be the very lowest aspect of human existence. The motive of showing violence and contention is to get people into low vibrational fear consciousness so that their minds can be manipulated and controlled. The love, truth, freedom, trust in the Divine consciousness protects us from others manipulating our minds. Those who would manipulate us present us with fear-mongering pictures and situations so that they can access our energy fields and our consciousness and control us. Our attention is extremely powerful. We magnetize to ourselves whatever we put our attention and thoughts on.
Fear is the a tool that is used to trap us into remaining in this dream, overcoming fear by understanding its purpose is one solution to the trap. When we dream, we co-create (stabilize the dream).

An amazing movie. My partner and I arrived less than five minutes after the film had started. In an attempt to make detailed sense of it stayed for a second viewing, madness - and it didn't help much either!
To your question:
Our minds are already being controlled to a great extent through social interaction (particularly religion and politics) and lately through various forms of visual and audio media (particularly through various and often subtle advertising).
We are also making strides in controlling machines using mind control by sensing and tracking electrical impulses generated by the brain. (In parallel uses of mind control, via nerve stimulation, thought is allowing the manipulation of prosthetic limbs.)
Whatever we think about genetics and inherited instincts and knowledge, ultimately the brain,is just a miraculously complex circuit board where it's all about "on" or "off"! This being so it seems logical to think that before long the "circuitry" of the brain will be better understood which, by default will allow control by outside influences.
I am not a scientist, but might compare our ability to understand the brain as a corollary to the development of the computer where the rooms full of machines that made up ENIAC can now be housed on a pinhead!
Whether we can develop an ability to influence or read the mind of others without an interface is less clear.
As we think about the implications of mind control, from our current perspective, it may not be comfortable to contemplate but so be it as man's destiny is to explore and search for answers - even if it does end in self destruction!
well i have not seen the movie, but yes i do believe that the mind can be manipulated, even against one's will. i know that the govt.s believe it too, or that we are led to believe that in the movies, as all the spys supposedly had pills that if caught that they would take it to kill themselves rather than be coerced in to telling their secrets, and that they use it to convince someone that there is someone that needs to die like in the "conspiricy theory". and what about subliminal messages through the television. they have proven that that works very effectively, which is still legal by the way. they tried to pass a bill in 1964, but it never went through. why doesn't that surprise me? and isn't there learning by playing a tape over and over again while sleeping? and what about hypnosis? has anyone seen the movie "vanilla sky"? i really believe that it is so.
There isn't such a thing as security, it's only a concept like everything else. I know that altering the thoughts of others are possible by personal experience. Everything is thought, including the self; a thought can be looked at as a dream; thoughts come from the dream of what society calls God. Gods are also dreamt by Their creator many layers deep. Each God believes they are THE creator, since They are busy controlling things (dreaming) They don't notice They are in a dream or that Their dream is an illusion. People believe they are co-creators because they are the dream of God, Gods dream is a reflection of the "evolution" of the everything, God knows everything that happens in Its dream and we are aspects of God; so how can security fit into this reality?
Haven't seen it, but on "An Evening with Kreskin", I was guessing everything ahead of Kreskin just "picking up" his powers. When asked for volunteers to be hypnotized, he told me "get the hell off my stage!" because I was thinking a message to him that he was wasting his powers on parlor tricks. He was looking for easily suggestable people and I was not one of them, anyway. So if the subject is right and the topic is acceptable, why would it be different than hypnosis that used to be thought of as impossible. The hypnotized state is the same as all altered states that bring you to 4.5 cycles per second, the rotation divided by mass of the earth "heartbeat" energy of Maya that heals by restoring all to it's natural state. Allign your shakras to it and you can have "healing hands". At 7 years old I drew a dentist "massage" chair with a white noise dome designed to get people to deep REM sleep thus decreasing the time needed for sleep, while increasing the quality of sleep. Delta is good for us.
Of course everyone's mind is influenced in varied ways every minute of every day. The most insidious and harmful brainwashing is the closest to home and the ones you least suspect. The belief systems implanted into children by their parents, communities and schools are the biggest stumbling blocks to most domesticated civilized humans. It it exceedingly difficult for people to free themselves from these chains they cannot see, that have been there so long, and were given to them by those who were convinced it was in their best interest to be slaves.
