Hollywood must 'love' remote viewing. First it's the much anticipated movie about the Year 2012 - and now it's about Men Who Stare at Goats. Well... not literally, of course.

Starring the dark and mysterious George Clooney, The Men Who Stare At Goats is a film based on a book with the same title about Col. John Alexander who has a stellar 32 year career in the US Military as an Inteligence Officer. Part of his work was an 'x files mission' exploring the paranormal concepts of psychokinesis and psyhic abilities to create better Soldies with enhanced intelligence capabilities. Does the concept sound familiar? Yep, it's all about remote viewing.

Using a lot of creative license, the book and movie is about using remote viewing as a sadistic practice to kill or injure goats. As you can imagine, Col. John Alexander criticizes the book as “5 percent true and the rest extrapolated beyond belief". Sadly, “reality is of no interest” to Hollywood - even when it involves the Government, psychic spies, and the paranormal.

The Men Who Stare At Goats - for Paranormal Activity

Alexander uses a sports analogy to explain that while everyone can probably do remote viewing, some can do it better than others.

“I can run all I want, but I’m never going to break a 4-minute mile. But some will. I see it as there are superstars in every endeavor, from art to athletics to science, and the same is true of remote viewing.”

It has been widely reported that in the 1970s, the U.S. Army actively sought psychic superstars to spy on the Russians. Over the next 20 years, the “Star Gate” program was developed with the Defense Intelligence Agency, the CIA and other governmental entities involved. The program was disbanded in the mid-1990s, Alexander said, because budgets were tighter and for a host of other possible reasons.

“There is a contingent who think it was so good that it must have gone ‘deep black ops,’ ” or was erased from public and governmental view while secretly kept alive, Alexander said. “I argue that’s not the case because the talent pool is small and everybody knows each other.”

In the scores of books about remote viewing, some of the same declassified examples are brought up time and again as evidence of its effectiveness.

Paul Smith, a retired Army major who spent seven years with the Star Gate program, wrote in his 2005 book, “Reading the Enemy’s Mind,” about the discovery of a massive hangar near the Baltic Sea in the northern Soviet Union. A remote viewer was asked to investigate.

Psychic spy Joe McMoneagle described and drew a double-hulled submarine “bigger by a significant factor than any other submarine known to man.”

It also had missile tubes “in front of the conning tower ... (which) ran contrary to known submarine design standards.”

Smith wrote that analysts thought McMoneagle’s data “made no sense.” But months later, Smith noted, satellite photos confirming McMoneagle’s “viewing” as a Typhoon-class submarine, the largest in the world, were revealed.

“While scientists argued about the viability of any theory supporting remote viewing, U.S. Army intelligence was already employing it on successful operations,” Alexander contends.

Another question the scientists pondered was: Where does a remote viewer pull the information from?

Steven Schwartz, 67, one of the earliest proponents of remote viewing and one of the scheduled speakers at the upcoming conference, says “it’s rather like a daydream. It’s a part of your consciousness that you have available to you all the time. There’s nothing weird about it. It’s not rare. We call it a woman’s intuition, a man’s gut hunch.”

The problem is that remote viewing “has become enmeshed in occultism, supernaturalism ... but this is really just normal human functioning,” Schwartz said before launching into what sounds like a sales pitch: “It can make CEOs so much more successful. It can make investors better. It has many applications.”

Tibetan Monks Remote View 2012

Remote Viewing is nothing new in Tibetan monasteries, so it comes as no surprise that Tibetan Monks have used their spiritual remote viewing skills to discover what will happen in 2012 - a much hyped up doomsday year signaling what could possibly be the end of the world.

According to an article I recently found, the Tibetan Monks see that our world powers are on the course of self-destruction with terrorism and covert wars happening starting from 2010 when the world powers will have a major disagreement and then during the following years they will threaten to destroy one another before plunging into a nuclear war. All this doom and gloom is scary - but there is hope beyond 2012.

Scientific interpretation of the monks’ statements makes it evident that the Extra Terrestrial powers are watching us every step of the way. They will intervene in 2012 and save the world from self-destruction.

When asked about recent UFO sightings in India and China, the monks smiled and said the divine powers are watching us all. Mankind cannot and will not be allowed to alter the future to that great extent.

Every human being though their current acts in life called “Karma” can alter the future lives to some extent, but changing the destiny in that large extent will not be allowed to that great an extent.

Monks also mentioned that beyond 2012 our current civilization would understand that the final frontier of science and technology is in area of spirituality and not material physics and chemistry. Beyond 2012, out technologies will take a different direction. People will learn the essence of spirituality, the relation between body and the soul, the reincarnation and the fact we are connected with each other are all part of “God”.

Hi Michael,

I was told a very similar situation in 2002, but almost everybody I told them to said was not going to be so. I was told there will be several strong situations starting at the beginning of 2013.

There will be a series of natural phenomena: earthquakes, flooding, big storms, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, etc, that will result in many fatalities al-over10 to 15% the world, that will cause about 40 to 50% reductions of population.

There will be a war east west that will reduce population about 10 to 15%. There will be an epidemic that will reduce another 10 to 15%, depending on areas.
The total reduction will be about two thirds. The surviving one third will be changed and there will be a new era of peace and coexistence as there will be mental communications between people. The concept of freewill will be obsolete. There will be extraterrestrial intervention that will help these transition. The timing has been predicted by four sources:

Buda in 500 B.C. thst said he had started the Wheel of life that would turn five times, of 500 years each, and on the fifth a new age would start. The Mayas about 1,200 years ago, that said the new era will start on December 23 of 2012.

Nostradamus that said there would be a war east west starting 1999, and as a consequence there would be a new era of peace after much destruction, including Paris and Rome.

Apocalypses that predicted wars and much destruction (the four riders) and 1,000 years of peace after it.

I asked about Mexico City, which is where I live, and was told it will be flooded as a consequence of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and the original lakes will be restored, except this time with drainage waters. Not so agreeable picture.

I was also told that the survivors will all be the people that are trying to get people together and that the people that are trying to separate or polarize will not make it, coinciding with Stephan Schwartz’s prediction. That may be a warning and a sign for us to change and stop polarizing, maybe a way out for each individual, as it is an individual decision in the end.

There was a definite warning to purify and spiritualize ourselves if we want to survive. That will get us nearer The One. Maybe Ed is right about the trial and error method of improvement, although I am told that will also change as the survivors will no longer be subject to this method, there will be another way as improvement will be still be necessary

Between now and 2012 the world super powers will continue to engage in regional wars. Terrorism and covert war will be the main problem. In world politics something will happen in and around 2010. At that time the world powers will threaten to destroy each other.

Between 2010 and 2012, the whole world will get polarized and prepare for the ultimate dooms day. Heavy political maneuvers and negotiations will take place with little progress.

In 2012, the world will start plunging into a total destructive nuclear war.

And at that time something remarkable will happen, says, Buddhist monk of Tibet. Supernatural divine powers will intervene. The destiny of the world is not to self-destruct at this time.

In India and China UFO sightings have increased in many folds. Many say the Chinese and Indian Governments are being contacted by the Extra Terrestrials.

In recent days most UFO activities have been seen in those countries who have indigenously developed Nuke capabilities.

When asked if these extra-terrestrials will show up in reality in 2012, the answers remote viewers are giving is: they will reveal themselves in such a way that none of us scared. They will reveal themselves only if they have to. As our science and technology progresses, we are destined to see them and interact with them any way.

According to the remote viewers, our earth is blessed and is being saved continuously from all kinds of hazards all the time that we are not even aware of. As our technologies progress we will realize how external forces saved us.

As we approach the year 2012 and notice natural disasters around the world, many people wonder what will happen less than five short years from now. While some fear all manner of crises, it is reassuring to note that several indigenous peoples of Earth inform us that this time of transition has been long anticipated, and something that has occurred many times before.

According to the Mayan long count calendar system which tracks events through 26,000 year cycles of time, there is special significance to the year 2012 being a time of transition from the "Earth era" to an "era of Ether" at the time of Winter Solstice, on December 21, 2012. Within the cycles spanning 5,125 years, there are cycles known as the '13 Baktun Count' which last 394 years, or 144,000 days. We are currently traveling through the final 13th baktun cycle -- which began in 1618 and will run through 2012, and which is known as both 'the triumph of materialism' and 'the transformation of matter.'

The Maya predicted this time would be a time of great forgetting, in which we lose our sense of Oneness with nature and the Earth. In the 1600s, mechanical clocks were invented which continue to this day, and which give people a sense that time exists outside of us, rather than as part of us.

The end of this materialistic time and the movement into the time of Ether is a profound change that also corresponds to a unique celestial event. On the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjuncting the exact the center of the galaxy.

This past month I conducted a workshop in which participants and I remote viewed 2012, to see for ourselves what the future holds in store. In this remote viewing circle, most all participants clearly sensed a feeling of tremendous harmony, peacefulness and joy... and yet some also sensed that just past this peaceful calm lay some degree of chaos, stress and strife.

This energetic view of 2012 is one which feels like a smooth continuation of life as we know it today, with an additional emphasis on heightened energetic awareness. Most remote viewers had a sense of being in peaceful contemplation by themselves on December 21st 2012, and some noted they could clearly look out at a large, calm body of water. I saw myself by the Pacific Ocean along the California coast, and sensed that even as I was basking in radiant vibrations of unconditional love, there were people on Earth who were primarily focused more on material matters... such as wind storms.

According to Hopi legend, the world has already ended three times before, and people have survived fire, an ice age resulting from magnetic pole reversals, and flooding. The signs of the coming Fifth World are now appearing as prophesied by Hopi, as life forms from previous worlds spring up from the ground, the stars, and our hearts. The Hopi Life Plan petroglyphs remind people to be not be misled off course into attempting to be better than others, but instead to remain guided truly by Spirit.

In previous end times, those who made it through the transition with the most ease were those whose kopavi, the 'door on top of their heads,' stayed open to receive inspiration, and whose hearts were open to caring for others. An attitude of open-mindedness and open heartedness is clearly optimal for facing times of great upheaval and change, yet in stressful times, people who have not practiced the art of keeping open-minded and open-hearted can find it challenging to maintain.

This past month has provided us with opportunities to assist people in the world who have suffered through earthquakes and wind storms. While it is clear that many crises we are facing now require our attention and assistance, it is equally clear on an intuitive level that when we step back far enough, we can see that everything on Earth is moving forward beautifully. It is up to us to remain open to inspiration... and open to love.

As singer/songwriter Michael Stipe from the musical group REM puts it, "It's the end of the world as we know it, And I feel fine."

Sun goes longer than normal without producing sunspots

BOZEMAN -- The sun has been laying low for the past couple of years, producing no sunspots and giving a break to satellites.

That's good news for people who scramble when space weather interferes with their technology, but it became a point of discussion for the scientists who attended an international solar conference at Montana State University. Approximately 100 scientists from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and North America gathered June 1-6 to talk about "Solar Variability, Earth's Climate and the Space Environment."

The scientists said periods of inactivity are normal for the sun, but this period has gone on longer than usual.

"It continues to be dead," said Saku Tsuneta with the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, program manager for the Hinode solar mission. "That's a small concern, a very small concern."

The Hinode satellite is a Japanese mission with the United States and United Kingdom as partners. The satellite carries three telescopes that together show how changes on the sun's surface spread through the solar atmosphere. MSU researchers are among those operating the X-ray telescope. The satellite orbits 431 miles above ground, crossing both poles and making one lap every 95 minutes, giving Hinode an uninterrupted view of the sun for several months out of the year.

Dana Longcope, a solar physicist at MSU, said the sun usually operates on an 11-year cycle with maximum activity occurring in the middle of the cycle. Minimum activity generally occurs as the cycles change. Solar activity refers to phenomena like sunspots, solar flares and solar eruptions. Together, they create the weather than can disrupt satellites in space and technology on earth.

The last cycle reached its peak in 2001 and is believed to be just ending now, Longcope said. The next cycle is just beginning and is expected to reach its peak sometime around 2012. Today's sun, however, is as inactive as it was two years ago, and scientists aren't sure why.

"It's a dead face," Tsuneta said of the sun's appearance.

Tsuneta said solar physicists aren't like weather forecasters; They can't predict the future. They do have the ability to observe, however, and they have observed a longer-than-normal period of solar inactivity. In the past, they observed that the sun once went 50 years without producing sunspots. That period coincided with a little ice age on Earth that lasted from 1650 to 1700.

Tsuneta said he doesn't know how long the sun will continue to be inactive, but scientists associated with the Hinode mission are ready for it to resume maximum activity. They have added extra ground stations to pick up signals from Hinode in case solar activity interferes with instruments at other stations around the world. The new stations, ready to start operating this summer, are located in India, Norway, Alaska and the South Pole.

Establishing those stations, as well as the Hinode mission, required international cooperation, Tsuneta said. No one country had the resources to carry out those projects by itself.

Four countries, three space agencies and 11 organizations worked together on Hinode which was launched in September 2006, Tsuneta said. Among the collaborators was Loren Acton, a research professor of physics at MSU. Tsuneta and Acton worked together closely from 1986-2002 and were reunited at the MSU conference.

"His leadership was immense, superb," Tsuneta said about Acton.

Acton, 72, said he is still enthused by solar physics and the new questions being raised. In fact, he wished he could knock 22 years off his age and extend his career even longer.

"It's too much fun," he said. "There's so much exciting stuff come up, I would like to be part of it."
